Larissa is a graduate of First Institute’s massage therapy program. This complemented her skills as an athletic trainer where she is able to assist athletes with their injuries and help improve their techniques. This combination of training and experience has equipped her to provide excellent massage therapy to runners, athletes and everybody with their various muscular concerns. Larissa is currently working in our McHenry and Crystal Lake locations.
We asked her to tell us a little about herself.
I am very family orientated, recently married my college sweetheart, Ryan, and we live in Pingree Grove with our dog, Hope. My parents and three siblings have been huge supporters of me and I love hanging out and enjoying family time with them. I enjoy various outdoor activities such as fishing, reading on my porch, hiking, biking, and playing softball. I love flipping furniture, giving something old a new life. My goal in my life is to have a successful career as a massage therapist and being able to spend time with my family regularly. I got into massage therapy because I had frequent and debilitating migraines and getting a massage regularly helped tremendously. My favorite massage is a relaxation Swedish massage. I also love being able to relieve tension in the neck back and upper shoulders with trigger point techniques.
